Flowers are Blooming at Our Lady's
Children at Our Lady’s Preparatory School and Nursery thoroughly enjoyed doing their bit to contribute to Crowthorne’s Flower Festival taking place at St John’s Church on the weekend of 10th, 11th and 12th July.
The title for the children’s arrangement was ‘Rhythm of Life – trees’. From the beginning of time, the tree has been depicted as a symbol of life and Our Lady’s interpretation of this title was inspired by the poem ‘The Tree’ written by 13 year old, Candice.
The tree chosen was the Olive tree. Children decorated the tree with colourful flowers they had created using tissue paper.
Mrs Robinson, Headmistress said, “The children had a great time making the flowers and helping to create the Our Lady’s arrangement for the Flower Festival. We are looking forward to visiting the festival with a number of our children on Monday, to see all the wonderful arrangements created by local organisations, schools and societies.”
