Our Ladys Preparatory School Makes Independent Education for Infant School Children Affordable
July 2009
In response to the economic climate, Our Lady’s Preparatory School has introduced ways of assisting parents in being able to afford excellent independent education for children aged 5 to 6 years.
National headline news highlights the increasing number of parents who believe they can not afford to send their children to independent school due to financial pressures. Our Lady’s, who are renowned for academic excellence, with many of their pupils gaining scholarships and places at the grammar schools of their choice, have put a number of schemes in place to make independent education more accessible to more parents.
The Catholic Preparatory School in Crowthorne, in wanting to give something back to the community, have kept their fees affordable, at the same time as offering more flexibility in the way the fees are paid. This means that whilst many other independent schools charge parents a term in advance, Our Lady’s fees can now be spread over monthly payments to assist with cash flow. In addition only one month’s notice needs to be given if, for any reason, parents decide to move their child. This notice period is normally one term at other schools. All of this on top of being able to pay with childcare vouchers (nursery children) and with sibling discounts available, independent education at Our Lady’s has just become even more affordable.
Incredibly, at the same time, parents are getting more for their money as the school increases what it offers pupils in terms of languages taught: French, Spanish and Mandarin, Swimming Pottery, Dance and Movement, School Dinners cooked on the premises, Books and Stationery and lots more – all included in the fees – no hidden costs; contact school for details.
Places are available from September in both the Infant School and Nursery. For more information on the school or to arrange a visit, please e-mail office@olps.co.uk or call Our Lady’s on 01344 773394.
