Gary Robinson BSc(Hons) ARCS MSc ACA
I attended Our Lady’s from the age of four to the age of eleven, leaving in the summer of 1993. From there I moved to a secondary grammar school where I obtained ten GSCEs and four A levels, Imperial College London University to read mathematics and finally Loughborough University to study for masters degree in management and finance. I am currently working as an audit manager in an accountancy practice where I completed my professional exams to gain membership to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
The education I received at Our Lady’s gave me an excellent start enabling me to meet every new challenge on the front foot, equipped with a broad range of skills in both the core and auxiliary subjects. My keen interest in maths and science were nurtured and I was allowed and supported to reach a more advanced level than the majority of my peers.
In addition to the education I received I also have many great memories from my time at the school. Time taken away from the classroom for sports days, swimming galas, summer fetes, musical productions and the Prep Four holiday meant that Our Lady’s gave me a strong foundation both academically and socially.
Anna Thomson
My name is Anna Thomson and I started at Our Lady's Preparatory School at the age of three. I spent eight very happy years there. We were encouraged to work hard and attain high standards. I liked the fact that it was a small, friendly school, where I knew almost everybody. I made many friends there and I am still in touch with quite a few of them.
I went on to Farnborough Hill school and I am now in the upper sixth, hoping to study veterinary medicine at university next year. The grounding I received at Our Lady's has enabled me to continue to strive for high standards in all that I do and I achieved eight A*s and an A at GCSE and straight As in five subjects at AS last year.
I am grateful to all the teachers at both my schools for supporting and encouraging me over the years.
