Early Years Funding is a government scheme that helps families access funded childcare for young children. Eligible children can receive 30 funded hours from the term after they turn 9 months totalling 1140 funded hours per year.

If your child is not eligible, from the term after they turn 3 years, they will be entitled to 15 funded hours totalling 570 funded hours per year.

At Our Lady’s, funded hours are stretched across the year to enable consistency in our offering and for ease to parents of regular monthly fees.

For more information on the Early Years Funding scheme please visit https://beststartinlife.gov.uk/childcare-early-years-education/

Tax-Free Childcare Scheme

Parents and carers may be able to use the Tax-Free Childcare scheme to help pay for childcare.

Tax-Free Childcare can be used to pay for eligible registered childcare costs. For every £8 paid into a Tax-Free Childcare account, the government adds £2, up to the relevant government limits.

If you are eligible, you can use your Tax-Free Childcare account to pay the nursery directly for eligible childcare sessions. Please ensure that payments are made using the Tax-Free Childcare account and that your child’s school account details are used as provided by the school.

For more information about eligibility and how to apply, please visit the official government website www.gov.uk or contact the school finance manager financemanager@olps.co.uk
