ICT

ICT skills are essential in our world and children at Our Lady’s develop the skills they need for both study and future careers.

Classes are provided from Reception onwards teaching children the basics of Word, PowerPoint and Excel. In addition, all pupils understand how to use Internet Explorer by the time they leave the School.

Coding, e-safety and programming

The School has a fully equipped technology room with laptops and tablets, used as part of everyday studies. Most importantly, we follow the National Curriculum for ICT, focusing on e-safety, use of the internet, coding, debugging and programming. Computing is taught as a standalone lesson, but the skills children learn are used in other curriculum subjects too. Furthermore, access to interactive whiteboards, Chromebooks and iPads, mean children leave Our Lady’s well prepared for the modern digital age.
